„This was the first wine we made. The first ever. Made from grapes from my grandfather vineyard, near Alcobaça, two east-south and south-west plots on clay-limestone soils, mostly composed of Fernão Pires and Vital.
The grapes were destemmed to a cellar where they were left to soak for 48 hours. After this light tanning process, they were pressed in a manual press and the must remained in stainless steel tanks to ferment naturally without temperature control. After fermentation the wine was cleaned and returned to stainless steel where it waited until the following summer.
After a year in the bottle the wine began to show itself, gained complexity in the aroma and volume in the mouth and today it is a wine that gives us a lot of pleasure to drink. After 2 years of aging in bottle, this firstborn is now on the market.
